Interesting blog. The life of Quiroga w...Hi Frank,<br /><br />Interesting blog. The life of Quiroga was quite traumatic. Never read any of his works but now I'll check it out. Your review of the Decapitated Chicken was not all that encouraging, but it did cause me to become intrigued. Luckily library has a copy. Thanks!<br /><br />Wave was the first of an intended trilogy, but my father died before completing the first book. The 1972 version was published posthumously, without taking into consideration his notes, revisions, omissions, additions etc. It was also unedited and the ending was left haninging because my father died. So, I would say the translation is closer to his intended version. It's all quite complicated and it took me a while to sort it all out.
